The National Office of the W.E.B. Du Bois Honor Society was incorporated in 2008. The function of the National Honor Society is to establish, nurture, and link local chapters at other Universities. This national office and the local chapters have been established to honor the memory of Dr. William Edward Burghardt Du Bois by promoting the pursuit of academic excellence in all fields of higher education, to engage in service to others, and to recognize the outstanding achievements of the Society’s members. Induction into this honor society recognizes personal accomplishment and serves as an incentive for continued scholarship. The Society provides a supportive environment that nurtures interaction with students in all academic disciplines and across all universities.
